Webby are modern bar stools designed by Carlo Ballabio and they are part of one of the most popular Porada collection that includes Ziggy tables, Atlante sideboards and Webby benches. The minimal and sophisticated detail of the legs expresses Porada’s culture for the wood processing and enhance the beauty of the solid wood. It is available in the two main woods of the collection, Walnut and Ash wood and can be stained or lacquered in different finishes. The seat cushions are soft and comfortable, with buttons available tone-on-tone or in contrast for a more attractive style. Thanks to its attractive and contemporary style, it can perfectly furnish a modern kitchen, a fine restaurant, or a luxury hotel cocktail bar.
Since 2011 he has been in charge of product development director and designer at Porada. He was born in Cantù (Como) in 1967, in his twenties he studied at IPSIA G. Meroni of Lissone, near Milan, as a technician for the furniture and design industry. In 1990 he obtained a master’s degree in Industrial Design at Instituto Europeo di Design in Milan. After graduation, Ballabio worked for the Paolo Nava design practice and then for Paola Navone as senior designer. During his career he designed many products, some of which can be found exhibited at the Triennale in Milano. For Porada he designed many of the most popular products, including the highly successful Ziggy collection. What makes its design unique is the steadily search for the perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality.
Porada
Everything ‘s born from the love of wood. The solid wood, worked with the craftsmanship of those who know how to turn a log into a piece of artwork. Porada has its origin in this passion. It was established in 1968 by Luigi Allievi with the aim of expanding the production of chairs, started in 1948.
The Porada collection is wide and varied, made up of a multitude of occasional furniture developed in cooperation with designers as Marconato and Zappa, Carlo Ballabio, David Dolcini, Emmanuel Gallina, Patrick Jouin, Tarcisio Colzani, Staffan Tollgard, Studio Opera, Gino Carollo, Dainelli Sudio and Studio Buratti among the others.
