Once again, the combination of the Buratti brothers’ design and Porada’s production skills gives rise to a project that combines aesthetic perfection and functionality.
The iconic Bayus family, characterised by its typical drawers with wooden or leather fronts, is enriched by a new unique piece, the low table, designed for the living area. Bayus coffee tables for living room are distinguished by a large double top with wide open compartments, where it is possible to insert two optional drawers made almost entirely of Canaletta walnut wood. The metal base in Bronzoro finish acts as a support for the entire frame and decorates it, thanks to the shiny end-feet in brushed brass. The beauty of Bayus’ carefully crafted wood and its measured proportions, make it distinctively sophisticated and able to fit with measured elegance into all modern living rooms.
Gabriele Buratti, architect and professor of interior architecture at the Design department of Politecnico di Milano and Oscar Buratti, architect, together founded the BURATTI ARCHITETTI studio. The Studio has a multidisciplinary practice, which covers buildings and urban areas, architecture to interiors, furniture and object design, as well as design of exhibitions and showrooms. An intense and varied professional path in which themes, places and typologies, brands and people, materials and craftsmanship, mingle together. Buratti brothers share with Porada the intention of combining culture and professional specialization, experimentation and technique, original visions, and product quality. “We don’t believe in striking gestures, but in the ability to transfer into the object a broader view of the space, good technique and care of detail.”
Porada
Everything ‘s born from the love of wood. The solid wood, worked with the craftsmanship of those who know how to turn a log into a piece of artwork. Porada has its origin in this passion. It was established in 1968 by Luigi Allievi with the aim of expanding the production of chairs, started in 1948.
The Porada collection is wide and varied, made up of a multitude of occasional furniture developed in cooperation with designers as Marconato and Zappa, Carlo Ballabio, David Dolcini, Emmanuel Gallina, Patrick Jouin, Tarcisio Colzani, Staffan Tollgard, Studio Opera, Gino Carollo, Dainelli Sudio and Studio Buratti among the others.
