Oyster Sofa

It clearly communicates Wittmann’s tradition of handcraftsmanship and quality, conveying a contemporary and individual impression through its bold appearance. The chairs and footstools offer matchless seating comfort, making this a particularly versatile family, for a full range of uses. Precise raised stitching creates a surface structure that is pleasing on the eye and to the touch.

Odeon Dining Sofa

The idea of sitting at a table on an upholstered bench has a long-standing tradition. A bench gives the person sitting on it the feeling that they have ample space to spread out and is also the perfect solution for larger groups around a table. The Odeon Dining Sofa also shines when positioned as a stand-alone piece.

Miles Sofa

In order to be able to realize this longing according to his ideas, Sebastian Herkner has unceremoniously created a new furniture category.

Merwyn Sofa

Objective was to combine high seating comfort with an optical lightness, as well as to invoke Wittman´s unique craftsmanship. Available in lounge and dining height.

Materassi Sofa

An innovative, patented, plug-in system for armrests and backrests allows for individual design requirements. The diversity of possible combinations and coverings gives Materassi a completely “personal touch”.

Havanna Sofa

Havanna is equally suitable as a sophisticated, individual element or as a furnishing element within a generous and comfortable overall room design.

Figure Sofa

Now, FIGURE is taking the idea to the next level. And into the third dimension. The sofa and lounge chairs in the series elevate the oval stones from the two-dimensional surface onto a three-dimensional plane. Together, Nichetto and Wittmann have worked up a statement piece, a design object with an organic and sculptural aesthetic. In the generously proportioned sofa, which consists of five elements, oval remains the defining shape. A pair of differently sized backrests abut two seats, each with a different depth. On one side, the armrest hovers over the seat. This opens up the option of bringing the sofa – which initially appears to be a stand-alone piece – into a more communicative setting in which two pieces are positioned adjacent to one another and share an armrest.

Colli Sofa Bed

With a wide range of sitting and reclining positions – the back rest has five graduated stops – Colli is ideal for reading, watching television and relaxing. The sofa transforms into a comfortable bed with a simple hand movement. Colli can be given a range of looks from elegant to sporty through the choice of covers and cushions, and this extremely popular model is still as popular as ever almost 30 years after its introduction.

Club 1910 Sofa

The private client’s brief was to design a large, comfortable armchair that would differ from previous models – but it was still to be a “typical” Hoffmann. The latter solved the task with aplomb. For the generous dimensions of the furniture pointed to the designer. But the seam strips that divided the seat and backrest gave the fauteuil a completely new touch – the “Quadratl-Hoffmann” showed that he could also do things differently. As the Club 1910, this representative piece is now celebrating a comeback at Wittmann. A matching sofa was developed by Wittmann.

Aura Sofa

This compact armchair added a new chapter to the history of furniture design in 1983 following a partnership with Paolo Piva. An integral part of the collection for over three decades now, Aura is a true timeless classic and the perfect complement to any office or home setting. The piece’s qualities also come to the fore when it features as part of a wider furnishing group, a footstool, or a sofa. Even in the XL version, Aura still manages to appear compact even though the seating surface is significantly larger.

Wings

They can be moved independently in the direction of the bed base, where they surround the sleeping person like a cocoon. Or they can open up to make the bedroom a place where you do not just want to stay at night. Leather covered bedside tables as well as reading lights with adjustable LED spotlights are supported by a delicate, black structured powder-coated rod.

Paradise Bird Bed

Its self-assured design – perfectly balanced with exceptional handcraftsmanship and superior comfort – is redolent of the effortless elegance of Viennese modernism. The light, sculptural metal frame conveys an impression of delicateness and delicate spacious impression, while providing a feeling of security like a nest. The integrated side tables in marble or walnut add a luxurious finishing touch.

Joyce Niche

The gently curved headboard – high and yet delicate – provides a feeling of security, while the ingenious inner cushion guarantees hours of cosy reading, making this bed a comfy retreat.

Joyce Cushion

The double-cushion headboard lends a cosy feel, while its reduced height makes JOYCE CUSHION suitable for even the smallest bedrooms.

Andes

The double piping – an element inspired by Josef Hoffmann‘s HAUS KOLLER chair – runs along the perimeter defining the piece’s organic form in a testament to handcrafted precision. The head-board and bed base cover is sewn from a single piece – a masterful manifestation of the sewer’s art that underpins the impression that everything is cast from one die. A tribute to an ultimate night’s rest.

Themis Bed

Eschewing the limelight, it never overwhelms even a smaller bedroom. And even though there is lots going on around Themis as far as decoration and configurations are concerned, the bed remains an island of calm in any space. Particularly in the bedroom, unpretentious simplicity like this emanates a sense of calm and helps to create a relaxing atmosphere, but THEMIS would not be a Wittmann bed if it did not exhibit a number of masterful artisanal details: piping touches off the precise fell seaming, while the gentle camber of the upholstery gives the headboard a subtle cuddliness.

Stan Bed

Simply fall back onto the bed, pick up a book and let go. STAN is the perfect partner: its cushion-like and particularly informal headboard feels like a quilted bedspread has been draped over the top of it. but an informal and relaxed look only achieves what it sets out to do if experienced stylists are at play. Like in the world of fashion, it takes a great deal of quality and expertise to create this effortless look: the cover is fixed to the soft upholstery in several places using invisible stitching. Perfectly-positioned, precision stitching quietly ensures that everything remains in place. Typical Wittmann.

Metis Soft Bed

There is no setting that can fail to be flattered by its gently rounded form. It benefits from an artistic touch resulting in a design that is simple at the same time as being unique in appearance. The latter is achieved with precise piping along the front seam of the headboard. What might at first glance seem like the most obvious forms are often the most versatile, because they offer the greatest flexibility when it comes to settings. METIS SOFT can demonstrate effortless independence when unadorned, but can also easily support a huge, playful mound of cushions.

Heather Bed

Heather’s large-format headboard is a beautifully soft cushion. Trimmed with elegant piping all the way round, it exudes uncomplicated and contemporary lightness and cuddliness for an easy-going and relaxed appearance, both in the standard height of 130 cm and in the shorter 110 cm variant.

Caden Bed

Affixed to the upholstery at a small number of points with unobtrusive stitching, the generously proportioned squares give the model its appealing look. The cover flows from the front of the headboard over the side edges, creating a uniform aesthetic: straightforward, but by no means nondescript. selecting lower runners gives CADEN a slightly more athletic stance, while taller ones elevate its presence within the space.

Paradise Bird Outdoor Table

The high-quality cold foam structure is protected by a waterproof, UV-resistant outdoor textile surface. Easy to care for, the threads and zippers are particularly hard-wearing and do not fade in the sun. Specially selected for the project at hand, the outdoor fabrics are pleasant to the touch, a property that also makes them suitable for indoor spaces where they can be used to dress upholstered furniture that is subject to exceptional wear or exposed to strong light.

Vuelta FD Chair

These are the characteristics that define the eye-catching style brought into being by the playful collaboration between Spanish artist and designer Jaime Hayon and Austrian furniture maker Wittmann. Setting design, comfort and independence of form atop four legs to create an upholstered chair that unites function and aesthetics, is the height of artistic design. In Vuelta, Jaime Hayon has created an unmistakable look – brought to life by Wittmann with characteristically uncompromising handcraftsmanship – that leaves nothing to be desired. Curiosity, determination and experience – from designer and manufacturer alike – have now made it possible to transfer all of Vuelta’s popular attributes to the dining room.

Featuring typical Vuelta stitching, the upholstered seat has a comfortable pocket-sprung core. The curved shape of the backrest gently tapers forward to form an armrest. Vuelta Dining Chair is supported by graceful tubular legs in a choice of black or – for a particularly refined look – satin matt brass. And as Hayon and Wittmann are both synonymous with versatility, there is of course another option for linking the base to the floor: in this variant, four feet still provide stability, but come together at a central point to create a swivel chair – a pleasant effect that brings dynamism to laid-back gatherings around the dining table. The metal core of the frame is clad in wood, which – how could it be any different with Hayon? – can be coated in any colour of the rainbow.

Sedan Chair

The latter offers yet further proof of the skills of Wittmann’s craftsmen. The base has a decisive influence on the character of the furniture. Metal legs make the chair look modern and elegant, whereas wood has a clear and timeless, yet comfortable and welcoming effect. This means that the new line is suited to many home and architectural uses. Both models can be ordered either with or without armrests.

Paradise Bird Chair

The characteristic birdcage-like architecture nestles comfortable and plush back and seat cushions. With such seamless juxtaposition of contrasting materials and forms, quality and stability are highlighted in a particularly welcoming and warm way.

Nils Chair

Now, Nils is also available with shorted armrests which make the chair seem even lighter. As an additional option, Nils can now be ordered with metal legs.

Morton

One striking feature of this lightweight item of furniture is the precisely executed two-part upholstery of the backrest, which quietly envelops the body. The subtle suspension mechanism in the backrest pleasantly accentuates the movements of the person sitting in the piece. Typically for a Wittmann, the seat comprises a pocket-spring core to ensure exceptional seating comfort. Flexible in terms of colours and coverings, the surface complements the individual character of the design. Herkner, who loves to play with different materials, also enjoys placing the focus on subtle details such as the crossmember in the base of the seat. Wittmann Möbelwerkstätten’s know-how enables the designer to come up with highly intuitive shapes and formulate precise seam patterns. In the case of MORTON, material, finish and the combination of leather and fabric are decisive. And this is where Wittmann’s exceptional handcraftsmanship comes into its own.

Mono Chair

The armchair is the result of the newest cooperation between the Wittmann Furniture Workshops and the designer Marco Dessí whose design language and signature are clearly recognizable. However, Mono is a new independent creation and is characterized by its ability to be easily transformed and adapted. Mono – as the name implies – comes as a single armchair or it can be wonderfully combined with a wide variety of sofas. It can be integrated into public areas (hotels, lobbies, offices etc.) as well as into a private living room as part of a complete concept. As with every piece of Wittmann furniture, Mono offers the highest level of seating comfort and exciting details in the lines which are perfectly crafted. A stool completes the model.

Merwyn Chair

When a chair has to have a special, inviting character, Merwyn´s unique curved design fits the bill like no other. In time-honoured Wittmann tradition, this chair is perfectly proportioned, so that – with a pocket-sprung cushion – maximum comfort is achieved, while its smooth lines are attractive from every angle. The optional armrests lend the chair even more independence. The armrests and back are leather-covered, surrounding the seat in one elegant curve. Significant feature is the masterfully worked single line of piping, running around the seat. Merwyn is a truly outstanding chair – working well as a stand-alone piece or next to a bureau or dressing table, and really coming into its own when several are used together in a mixed group with covering and piping in varying materials and colours. Bearing the unmistakable stamp of Sebastian Herkner, Merwyn adds a touch of levity to any interior design.

Merwyn Barstool

The key element was meticulously executed leather piping – a band in every sense of the word that speaks to Wittmann exceptional skills as a maker of handcrafted furniture. The second refreshingly unconventional family characteristic is the round cushion ‘bisected’ by the piping, whose shape and volume conjures up associations with delicious macaroons – especially in the case of the Merwyn bar stool.

Leslie Chair

In the version with armrests, the interplay of wood and leather upholstery shows a particular love of detail. Leslie is an elegant and thoroughly comfortable range of seating furniture which makes a particularly good impression in the dining room. To accommodate taller people, Leslie is now available with a 7cm higher backrest.

Leslie Barstool

Leslie comes in two different heights, making a statement in a hotel or restaurant setting or as a piece of home furnishing at the breakfast bar. The slender looking base can be aligned to any living or working space thanks to the availability a range of different finishes (natural woods and stains, RAL lacquers).

Fledermaus Chair

The runners and the wooden spheres on the joints are typical Hoffmann style elements.

Fame Chair

A visual minimalism that, at first glance, gives away little about the unique seating experience it has to offer. In this respect, FAME is typically Wittmann: its pared-down form would not forgive even the most miniscule of processing deviations – its contours are simply too exacting for that. A chair that immediately radiates charming understatement, and only reveals its exceptional comfort upon closer inspection. Like the lounge chair, the chair is defined by a delicate, slightly elastic backrest and armrest shell defined by precisely executed top stitching. In consultation with the designer, a particularly high-quality saddle leather was selected for the body of this exceptional chair. In the furniture sector, it demonstrates its key qualities precisely at the juncture that the FAME Chair occupies – namely as a resilient support material for flexible or gently swinging seating furniture.

Carinzia Barstool

In connection with Wittmann, the work of Josef Hoffmann is often cited for obvious reasons. LucidiPevere borrowed from Hoffmann’s Fledermaus chair for the compact and smoothly self-contained form of the Carizina chair series. Its harmonious proportions and the simplicity of all elements correspond to the aesthetic understanding of the designers. LucidiPevere and Wittmann share a passion for craftsmanship. Added to this is the urge not to take design boundaries for granted, but to always find new ways to implement exciting forms. With Carinzia, for example, they succeed in accommodating the greatest possible comfort in a small space: the pocket spring core in the seat ensures comfort at the table even over a longer period of time.

The seat cushion is framed by a precisely guided welt, and the backrest takes up this curve. All wooden parts of the base are joined as if flowing into each other, creating an uncomplicated and straightforward impression. Different types of wood as well as a wide range of colors allow for creative design of the chair frame. Together with the free choice of cover material, Carinzia thus has a wide variety of faces, which can also be combined with each other, depending on your mood. Just like the chair, the bar stool is equipped with a high-quality pocket spring core in the seat and the options are also completely open when it comes to the color design. A well-positioned footrest ensures ease in leg posture.

Vuelta High-Back Chair

These are the characteristics that define the eye-catching style brought into being by the playful collaboration between Spanish artist and designer Jaime Hayon and Austrian furniture maker Wittmann. The wing chair is a tribute with a wink to the history of Austrian design. A gentle, soft flowing upholstery is framed by curved bentwood: a masterpiece of subtle design and relaxed seating: the highly-comfortable upholstery with pocket springs and the small stools provide hours of comfortable sitting.

Vuelta Armchair 80

These are the characteristics that define the eye-catching style brought into being by the playful collaboration between Spanish artist and designer Jaime Hayon and Austrian furniture maker Wittmann. If the brief was to create furniture to counteract boredom, then it’s safe to say mission accomplished. Jaime Hayon’s collection for Wittmann truly brings colour into the picture, in every respect. It radiates through its unusual proportions, a special charm as a solitary character or the perfect counterpart for the Vuelta Sofa. The large lounge chair (width 80, depth 82, height 75) with its articulating seam patterns are reminiscent of Viennese Modernism whereas the compact small armchair (width 72, depth 67, height 75), however, looks like a small, enchanting monolithic sculpture.

Villa Gallia Armchair

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Carl von Hasenauer and Otto Wagner. Early on he developed a strict style characterized by straight lines. In 1897 he became a member of the Vienna Secession, and two years later – at the age of only 29 – he was appointed professor at the Vienna School of Applied Arts. In 1903, together with Kolo Moser, he founded the Wiener Werkstätten, whose goal was to create a Gesamtkunstwerk. Their first major commission was the construction of the Purkersdorf Sanatorium in 1904, and the idea of the Gesamtkunstwerk was realized in 1905 with the Palais Stoclet in Brussels. Within the framework of this idea Josef Hoffmann worked in all areas of the arts and crafts and produced metalwork, jewelry, leather, glass, textiles, ceramics, floor coverings and – furniture. Josef Hoffmann’s numerous furniture designs are considered classics. With their clear design and timeless simplicity, they have lost none of their validity to this day. In 1913 Josef Hoffmann designed a villa for the Gallia family and created an upholstered furniture group to go with it. Fauteuil, two-seater bench.

Sitzmaschine Armchair

Josef Hoffmann originally designed the geometrically functional model in 1905 as a one-off piece. As more and more contemporaries recognized its aesthetic added value, it was produced in series from 1908 to 1916. The square rods were particularly unusual: one of Thonet’s sons had developed this sophisticated technique. Wittmann now revives it – in the same precise curvature. From an art-historical point of view, it is interesting that the seat machine with its “strict” design anticipated some of Rietveld’s equally famous red and blue chair.

Paradise Bird High-Back Chair

By extending the length of the grid structure, key feature of the family of lounges to which it belongs, Paradise Bird Highback Chair acquires a backrest with a head cushion placed at the top, merging sophistication of the design with comfort.

Paradise Bird Fullback High Back Chair

Here, noble elegance and functional flexibility come together effortlessly. The refined form surprises with an unmatched seating feel: pocket springs and down filling deliver the kind of comfort associated with a genuine Wittmann.

Paradise Bird Armchair

The delicate metal frame appears light, in spite of its generous size, forming a basket that makes this an ideal piece to linger in. As an ambassador of the welcoming elegance that sets the tone of the entire Lounge Family, Paradise Bird stool preserves the same features adapting them into a versatile piece. The metal grid, prominent architectural element of the collection, becomes the supporting structure for a circular top. The upholstery in fabric or leather guarantees the generous seat. Paradise Bird stool can stand as a solo piece or easily combined with any other products.

Oyster Armchair

It clearly communicates Wittmann’s tradition of handcraftsmanship and quality, conveying a contemporary and individual impression through its bold appearance. The chairs and footstools offer matchless seating comfort, making this a particularly versatile family, for a full range of uses. Precise raised stitching creates a surface structure that is pleasing on the eye and to the touch.

Mono High-Back Chair

It appears familiar, but yet it exudes a very special aura. The classic, elegant representative of Wittmann upholstery carries the thumbprint of its designer Marco Dessí and impresses with maximum adaptability. You might think that an upholstered seat on angled wooden feet framed by a rounded back would seem banal since there are already countless numbers of similar chairs. “Mono”, however, clearly distinguishes itself from this group by refining the familiar to perfection. You can feel that “Mono” was created by hand. It is obvious that the lines and curves were carefully traced out during its design. The gentle, yet dynamic curves are testimony to absolute precision.

Its gentle curves are not only pleasing to the eye. They carefully support the buttocks, back and shoulders. The foundation is provided by a stable, but light wood frame with handmade suspension and an elastic crossed surcingle. Four layers of foam rubber in the seat and back and the crowning with fine cotton padding, complete the perfection of seating comfort. The clearly visible effort was worth it. When you sit on the “Mono” you simply cannot imagine sitting better or more elegantly. That is a genuine Wittmann. “Mono embodies the perfect balance between calm and strength, serenity and dynamism, sensuality and precision.”

As with every piece of Wittmann furniture, Mono offers the highest level of seating comfort and exciting details in the lines which are perfectly crafted. A stool completes the model.

Miles Lounge Armchair

In order to be able to realize this longing according to his ideas, Sebastian Herkner has unceremoniously created a new furniture category. Soft, round, inviting, protective. Many attributes can be ascribed to the chairs, armchairs, sofas and tables in the Miles series. They add refinement to homes, hotel lounge areas, meeting corners in offices and reception areas in stores to prove the ultimate in aesthetics, comfort and finish.

Merwyn Lounge Chair

The precise upholstery is positioned above delicate, almost fragile-looking legs. By contrast, the piece’s modern, pared-down shape and thoroughly stable structure – along with its pleasingly coherent proportions – is a product of the complexity of knowledge and skill that goes into innovative design ideas.

Lilian Armchair

In 1910 Josef Hoffmann created a new type of furniture in the form of Alleegasse: a modern, compact standalone armchair with a light appearance that is at home in all kinds of settings. In 1986 Paolo Piva created Aura, another global bestseller in this category. And now these classics, still produced by Wittmann to this day, are joined by a new, fresh design. Lilian pays homage to Josef Hoffmann and Paolo Piva. Eschewing short-lived trends, its development instead turned to design principles: playing with geometric shapes, reduction to the necessary dimensions, the quest for archetypal beauty. Minimal in appearance, the stitching allows form, colour and material to bask in the limelight. Anyone who prefers to move away from pure simplicity can let their imagination run riot. Lilian is either available as straight with a pure smooth cover, or casual, laid-back and creased variants. Another option is dual colour: Lilian is either covered in the same colour material inside and out, or in a twotone variant with different colours on the inside and outside. This gives rise to exciting combinations: soft leather and structured fabrics, velour and smooth fabrics, monochrome textiles and patterned covers. Lilian is also available as a dining chair in the high version.

Jolly High-Back Chair

Jolly is a piece of furniture that is redolent of solidity and security, refuge and protection. The hint of a shell shape combined with the coordinated radii and sloping lines strengthen this impression, and create a coherent whole. At the same time, the small dimensions and the cantilevered version are at one with modern lifestyles, and result in a certain lightness. The swivel base extends the range of potential uses. Jan Armgardt has successfully married tradition and modernity in a piece that is a classic, yet thoroughly contemporary. As always, special attention has been paid to careful stitching and craftsmanship. For this model, Wittmann was awarded the Red Dot Award 2006 for product design.

Figure Lounge Chair

Now, FIGURE is taking the idea to the next level. And into the third dimension. The sofa and lounge chairs in the series elevate the oval stones from the two-dimensional surface onto a three-dimensional plane. Together, Nichetto and Wittmann have worked up a statement piece, a design object with an organic and sculptural aesthetic. Also part of the family, the lounge chair adheres to the same design principle. Likewise comprising two elements, a backrest stands protectively behind the seat, lending the single-seater additional stability and support. The seating comfort provided by these aesthetically engaging and organically flowing sculptures is scarcely imaginable for such artful forms.

Fame Armchair

Defined by flawless flowing lines, upholstered chair FAME is a roll-call of all of Wittmann’s greatest qualities: ageless design, comfort and longevity. During the design process, Christophe Pillet sought to get as close as possible to Wittmann’s roots and values. The outcome: an uncluttered and timeless aesthetic, unswayed by ephemeral trends, and the manifestation of unpretentious handcraftsmanship at the very highest level. For the designer, the challenge was in finding a form that appeared familiar, yet was typically Wittmann owing to its simplicity.

Contessa 1956 High-Back Chair

All of the experience built up by the manufacturer over the past 60 years – as well as state-of-the art technology and materials – went into developing this modern-day reedition.

Constanze 3/4 Armchair

An additional moulded wood shell gives the masterfully deep buttoned seating element extra stability. The positioning of the legs breaks up the compactness of the solid upholstered element – reflecting the lightness that Spalt wished to engender. The armrests give the piece its characteristic form. Spalt wanted to create “intelligent furniture that enables the cultivation of an interior culture”. Wittmann’s goal is to use the new edition of the 3/4 furniture to give this philosophy enduring impact.

Club 1910 Armchair

The private client’s brief was to design a large, comfortable armchair that would differ from previous models – but it was still to be a “typical” Hoffmann. The latter solved the task with aplomb. For the generous dimensions of the furniture pointed to the designer. But the seam strips that divided the seat and backrest gave the fauteuil a completely new touch – the “Quadratl-Hoffmann” showed that he could also do things differently. As the Club 1910, this representative piece is now celebrating a comeback at Wittmann.

Bun Armchair

Flexible, individual and undogmatic – just like its culinary counterpart – different variants open up a wealth of aesthetic options that integrate seamlessly into a full spectrum of settings. Federica Biasi has infused her upholstered BUN with a characteristic yet casual form: BUN may be understated, but it is certainly not inconspicuous. A certain laid-back, sporty air makes BUN incredibly inviting, and its balanced proportions lend the lounge chair to virtually any situation. Concealed in the base is a robust swivel mechanism – a persuasive feature, not only for comfortably ticking back and forth in the living room at home, but also one that lends it to executive lounges or offices.

Bonnie High-Backed Chair

And the pocket-sprung core makes for the wanted Wittmann comfort. An eminently likable model, Bonie comes with a matching footstool that is a passport to relaxation. Armchair also available with revolving base.

Aura Armchair

This compact armchair added a new chapter to the history of furniture design in 1983 following a partnership with Paolo Piva. An integral part of the collection for over three decades now, Aura is a true timeless classic and the perfect complement to any office or home setting. The piece’s qualities also come to the fore when it features as part of a wider furnishing group, a footstool, or a sofa. Even in the XL version, Aura still manages to appear compact even though the seating surface is significantly larger.

Andes Armchair Swivel

From variable sofa modules and a generously-proportioned armchair to an upholstered bed, a clear philosophy runs through the design and is reflected in the organically shaped cushions. A striking detail: the delicate, rounded-over metal feet, which draw inspiration from a spoon designed by Josef Hoffmann.

Andes Armchair

The individual elements in this family can be positioned to spectacular effect, as required, to present a new face to the world. With a virtually limitless number of combinations possible, Andes’ personality adapts to its surroundings by offering countless individual configuration options – no matter which of the world’s cultural circles it is introduced to. Available in a choice of two heights, the delicate metal structure gives the organically shaped cushions the appearance of floating. Perfectly handcrafted, the lines traced out by the dual piping bear the signature of Wittmann Möbelwerkstätten’s master craftsmanship. Maximum seating comfort comes courtesy of the feeling of gentle support delivered by Wittmann’s trademark intelligent use of a pocket-sprung core.

Andes is ideally suited for playful combinations of different-sized elements, seating heights, low and high backrest cushions, and coloured seat cushions. Footstools and tables can be brought in to coalesce with the group configuration, or positioned independently to the side of the ensemble. In terms of covering options, a multiplicity of materials and colours create new and highly individualistic impressions – underscored by design details that only true handcraftsmanship can produce. The variety of possible sofa and element groupings is now joined by an elegant and well-proportioned armchair, which suits the typical look of the Andes series. Like its larger relatives, the armchair is available in two seat heights and in different cover and material variants.

Ouvert Mirror

OUVERT, a 199cm high mirror, presents an equally open and self-confident stance in the eye of its beholder. Taking the name from the world of dance is fitting since OUVERT zeroes in on the playful and swinging lightness sought by NOTE’s designers in their work: the world is serious enough – so it makes sense to leave it to the objects that enrich people’s everyday lives to espouse effortlessness and joie de vivre. What Wittmann and NOTE have playfully created together speaks to a finely-tuned sense of design coupled with handcrafted details, as well as the high quality of workmanship manifested in all of the products that leave the Wittmann workshops.

New mirror OUVERT is encased by a leather frame, whose light padding creates additional sculptural depth. Four seams in twin-needle stitching set at fixed positions emphasise the proportions while highlighting the outstanding level of craftsmanship. An instantly likeable home accessory, the mirror either leans casually against the wall or is elegantly hung upon it using the mounting provided.

Monkey Mirror

The unusual shape draws admiring glances, while the precisely dimensioned frame and central disc are available either in bronze or any RAL colour.

MD Shelf

With the MD Shelf, you can set beautiful and treasured objects on silky smooth leather shelves – seemingly floating on air thanks to delicate-looking, asymmetrically positioned brackets made from textured powder-coated metal. The tactile experience – leather, cool metal with a textured coating – and the attraction of a broad spectrum of colours stems from the colourful world of the designer. Wittmann has executed the precision handcraftsmanship behind the idea with incomparable finesse.

Forme Rugs

So it comes as a logical step for Wittmann – that started off more than 120 years ago as saddlery – to launch its own rug collection. Designed by Arthur Arbesser and handmade by cc-tapis, the four large-format rugs that make up the FORME collection lay like artworks in a room. SCALA, SELLA, CHESS and BLOCK clearly reference the characteristic contours of Viennese Modernism and Art Nouveau. Made from the highest quality wool and silky soft Tencel™ fibre, the rugs are hand-tufted in India using traditional artisanal techniques. For ach rug, selected raw materials are measured and dyed in an approach specifically designed to conserve resources.

Detour Lamp

The characteristic element found in all models – and which they have their name to thank for – is the lateral sweep of the narrow, powder-coated steel arc. A distinguishing feature, it takes a detour around the lampshade and suspends it, seemingly floating in mid-air. In the case of the side table, this distinctive sweep serves as a support for the delicate tabletop made of the same material as the arc. The beautifully-proportioned black marble base gives the table and lamps a stable grounding while at the same time underscoring their simplicity through an understated elegance. This balance transforms DETOUR into a series of versatile home accessories that are every bit as impressive on their own as they are as a family. Every detail is precisely crafted – from the velvet base pad and the elegant textile power cord to the easy-to-operate dimmers in the lamps.

Baton Wardrobe Stand

And it is precisely this balancing act that Neri&Hu has pulled off with the wardrobe stands and tables in the BATON series, which comes as a homage to the Viennese Secessionist design movement. Standing proud at 183 centimeters, the taller of the wardrobe stands accommodates long coats and blazers on hangers or loops, provides space for hats and caps, and will never be thrown off balance by heavier loads. Its smaller sibling, measuring 143 centimeters, is perfect for scarves, jackets or children’s clothes, and on top of it all it includes a practical, bowl-shaped tray for keys, sunglasses or other small items.

Antigua Cabinet

With characteristic effortlessness and expressivity, Luca Nichetto picks up on a thread once held by the great master Josef Hoffmann. Precision handcraftsmanship and the perfect interplay between the most exclusive materials bestow treasured-piece status upon the items that make up the Antigua collection. Elevating functional objects to new heights through artistic design was the overriding goal of the Wiener Werkstätte collective – and a discipline that Hoffmann mastered like virtually no other. It was ornamentation that played a defining role in this approach.

Nichetto references this principle in Antigua, arranging the leather elements in such a way that they appear to hover proud of the fronts. He also articulates his appreciation of what went before by giving this ornamentation not just an aesthetic role, but an essential function, too: arranged asymmetrically yet in harmony with one another, each drawer and door is adorned with an element that performs an additional function as a handle, in a direct reference to the elegant logic that defined Wiener Werkstätte design.

Acacia Lamp

The tubular black chrome support structure rises from the base to elevate the light, which itself is elegantly encapsulated within a scalloped and mouth-blown Murano fumé-clear glass shade.

Torch Lamp

The combination of crystal and metal adds a touch of modernity. The Torch lamp combines advanced technology with a fancy lyrical touch—not forgetting a dash of humor with the black lampshade placed upside down.
